• a new convert to a religion.
• a novice in a religious order, or a newly ordained priest.

'We respectfully dedicate this set to the memory of Neal Cassady.' Nicely done, especially as it is the basis of Anthem of the Sun. Thanks for drawing me back to this amazing show, H.L.

Your review says it all.... this show is the essence of the Grateful Dead.

As much as I enjoy everything else from all those other years, eras, incarnations and recording qualities... I always come back to this and the Fillmore 69 shows for the band in their purest form.

I can't think of any show I would pick over this one.

Click the picture in the original post and it will take to the other side of the looking glass...

Well actually it takes you to the page that lets you stream the Charlie Miller source of 1968-02-14.

I've found prefer 10/12/68 - which is lacking Pig. I will now spend the remainder of my "work" day listening to both shows to see if this is really the case (and see if I can pick Hendrix out of the feedback on 10/12)

I haven't done a 10/12 listen in quite a while. I can't disagree that it is quite sick, and does benefit from the "lack of pigpen" but it always seemed to me that the 2nd set of 2/14 has so much more raw power to it.

Spanish Jam through to Feedback is something I can listen to day in and day out and always find some new wrinkle in there I never heard.

well, hard to argue with you as right now I'm in the midst of Alligator ->Drums -> Alligator ->- Caution (Do Not Stop On Tracks) -> Feedback (currently in the second half of alligator and it's definitely blistering).

Also, how crazy is it to be able to sit around 41 years after the fact and be able to have things in this type of clarity to pass the work day?

Crazy indeed. I don't know if I could make it through a day at the office without it.
